Woodworth Ranch Quarter Horses is located northeast of Alliance, in the panhandle of Nebraska-- where the hard grass country meets the Sandhills. Up until the fall of 2005 WRQH was owned and managed by Donald and Sheri Woodworth. In the fall of 2005, Don lost his battle with cancer. Raising, training and riding American Quarter Horses was one of the greatest highlights of Don's life. The horses were his first love and it showed, he loved to talk horses and share his knowledge of pedigrees and confirmation with anyone that would listen.
Now WRQH’s is living upto Don’s expectations and dreams. We are a working cattle and horse ranch, raising Angus cattle and registered American Quarter Horses for ranch use and to provide quality performance prospects at the Annual Sugar Bars Legacy Production Sale. Our goal is to provide our customers and ourselves with horses that have good bone, confirmation, cow sense, athletic ability and a solid disposition. We strive to produce horses that can compete at today's high level of competition, whether it be roping, cutting, reining, working ranch horse or trail riding; and still have the soundness and disposition to be used everyday for work on the ranch or return to the pasture as a broodmare. Our colts are raised out in the sandhill's pastures, where they learn to be a horse; traveling the hills and developing natural muscle and ability.
